BTW Students have been collaborating to design toys.
STEP 1. First graders created a drawing for a new type of toy.
STEP 2. Fourth and Fifth graders interviewed a 1st grader about their idea.
STEP 3. The older students created a virtual 3D model of the toy on iPads using the app 123D Creature.
STEP 4. We 3D printed 3 copies of each toy design using our new MakerBots.
STEP 5. The older students painted the toys and designed packaging.
STEP 6. One toy was kept by the older student, one was given to the 1st grade designer, and the 3rd copy was sold during our STEM Expo to fund the project cost for next year.
